STEP 1: THE OTHERS
WE BREATHE - FULLY IN AND LET IT GO
Before tackling the mountain, we convene at Aspire Wellness Studio in Newcastle, Co. Down. Starting 9am sharp; we engage in a group breath-work practice and get to know one another.
To maximise time outdoors, we complete our studio session and leave before 10.30am, taking the 5-10min drive to Bloody Bridge Car Park. This is the beginning and end point of the hike, providing an option to leave swimming gear in the car, close to the cold water stream.
STEP 2: THE WILD
THE SEA, THE TREES AND THE MOUNTAIN
We begin the hike up from sea level to the famous Mourne Wall and back, making brief stops for lessons along the way, to have lunch together in the great outdoors and enjoy the wild.
Hiking through the breathtaking Mourne Mountains, we use the chance to connect to nature, each other and ourselves, taking in views of the Irish Sea and becoming accustomed to the elements. No matter the sun, snow, wind or rain we complete the challenge, together.
STEP 3: THE COLD
PROVE THAT YOU TOO CAN LIVE STRONGER
Put all of the day's lessons to the test and prepare to submerge into the cold mountain water at Bloody Bridge. Sharpen your focus, and take that focus back with you into your daily life.
The submersion area is 2 minutes walk from the parking spot we left the cars at earlier in the day. Here, there are also public restrooms to get changed in and out of swimming gear. Everyone is invited to round off the day by warming up with teas and coffees in Newcastle.

The Deep Breath daily breathing practice firstly invites you to start using different areas of your breathing apparatus, engaging the diaphragm and explaining how that affects your nervous system.
From there, we go deeper with an explanation and guide to the x30 and 3x30 breathing method.
