“We can do more than what we think." - Wim Hof
This Wim Hof Method Mountain Workshop will cover all the WHM fundamentals: Breathwork session and introduction at the studio, focus and mindset training in the forest, then cold immersion on the mountain in one of it's amazing rock pools.
Experiences are limited to just 6 people at a time, so there's much more opportunity to connect, ask questions and get personal guidance than the bigger workshops. I'm also including a FREE Causeway Living poncho towel (pictured).
Northern Ireland's outdoor Wim Hof Method Workshop with certified instructor, Scott Riley. Learn to become Healthy, Happy & Strong with these benefits and more:
- Reduce stress levels
- Increase energy
- Improve mood
- Sharpen focus
- Boost metabolism
- Enhance sleep
- Decrease inflammation
This workshop focuses on the fundamental Three Pillars of the Wim Hof Method:
MINDSET · BREATH-WORK · THE COLD
Discover what it takes to find calm in a stressful environment like extreme cold, and how to apply that to your daily life. Take a guided meditation to build focus.
Work on your breathing mechanics and find an optimal pattern for both active practice of the WHM and passive breathing practice in the rest of your day.
Put all you learn to the test by getting into the cold stream. Use the breath to regain composure in the cold & access heightened focus to warm up, post-dip.
11.00 - 12.30: Introduction & Breath-work session
12.30 - 3.00: The Hike, Cold-immersion & Lessons
3.00 - 4.00 (optional): Tea/Coffee/Chat to warm up
WHAT TO EXPECT
The main curriculum is 11am - 3pm, then an optional extra hang-out at the end for whoever wants to grab teas & coffees together at the café before hitting the road (highly recommended to warm back up and refuel).
If you have any major heart/health conditions please consult a physician before practicing the method. If you are pregnant or have epilepsy you cannot attend the workshop.
Take cold showers, increasing exposure time gradually. Start with a warm shower then turn it fully cold for 15 seconds to begin. Over the coming days, increase to 30, then 60 seconds. You do not need to submerge your head.
Have a light breakfast or if you're used to intermittent fasting, arrive on an empty stomach. Bring a light packed lunch or snack for the start of the hike. Eat well after the workshop as you'll have burnt a high amount of calories.
WHAT TO WEAR
Whatever you feel most comfortable wearing for a hike. Bring swimwear, flip flops and perhaps an extra layer or two can be good for afterwards. You won't need an extra towel but leave room in your bag for the free poncho towel.
WHAT IF I'M DOING / HAVE COMPLETED THE 10-WEEK ONLINE COURSE?
This is an ideal opportunity to get personal coaching on the techniques to ensure you're getting the most from your at-home practice. Practicing as a group is also hugely beneficial for reasons I'll get into at the workshop.
